Susan Carter assumes CFO post at KBR

Carter brings 28 years of financial and accounting experience to the Houston contractor

Susan Carter has been appointed senior vice president and chief financial officer at KBR Inc.

Her appointment becomes effective Oct. 29, upon the retirement of Kevin DeNicola, the Houston-based contractor said in an announcement.

Carter brings 28 years of financial and accounting experience to her role at KBR.

She previously spent five years as executive vice president and CFO at Lennox International Inc., of Richardson, Texas, after serving as vice president of finance and chief accounting officer at Cummins, Inc., in Columbus, Ind.

Carter holds an M.B.A. from Northern Illinois University and a B.S. in Accounting from Indiana University. She is a CPA and a former member of the board of directors for Lyondell Chemical Co.

KBR, of Houston., ranks No. 6 on Washington Technology’s 2009 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
