Booz Allen wins order for anti-drug work

Booz Allen will help federal, state and local law enforcement officials fight drug trafficking

Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. will help law enforcement organizations coordinate efforts to fight drugs and drug-related crime under a new $99 million contract.

Booz Allen will bring its technical support to the Defense Information Systems Agency’s Adnet Plus program, the General Services Administration announced today.

Adnet Plus is an integrated information network for sharing anti-drug trafficking information used by various organizations involved in fighting drugs. Federal, regional, state, local, tribal and foreign partners will use the network in support of missions to stop drug trafficking, GSA officials said.

Booz Allen will set up the information systems technologies and services and provide complete information system support, the officials said.

The work includes seven major support areas, such as task-order management, customer support, system installations and maintenance, information technology engineering and software development, and information assurance, they said.

Federal Systems Integration and Management Center, or FedSim, GSA’s assisted acquisition services office, awarded the order through GSA’s Millennia contract, a multiple-award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract. The contract lets GSA meet the government’s demand for large systems integration and development projects.

Millennia is soon to expire and the already-awarded Alliant governmentwide acquisition contract will take its place.

Booz Allen ranks No. 10 on Washington Technology's 2009 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
