Guident to help SSA office streamline business processes

New BPA is worth $9.5 million to contractor

Guident has won a four-year award to provide business intelligence support services to the Social Security Administration. The Blanket Purchase Agreement has an estimated value of $9.5 million.

Issued by SSA’s Office of Earnings, Enumeration and Administrative Systems (OEEAS), the BPA calls for Guident to support the development and migration of Oracle solutions for Social Security’s Business Intelligence Gateway (BIG), the agency’s toolset for providing interactive ad-hoc querying, reporting and data analysis, company officials said.

BIG is a secured Web deployment within Social Security’s intranet and incorporates Web, application and database servers. Currently supporting more than 60 projects and initiatives throughout SSA with 6,000 users BIG capabilities include intuitive dashboards, report building, and in-depth data analysis, the officials said.

“OEEAS provides a wide variety of technology support services to users inside and outside Social Security’s Office of the Deputy Commissioner for Systems,” said Teddy Matheu, executive vice president and partner at Guident.

“This BPA enables OEEAS to streamline the procurement of highly skilled, expert technical personnel to support the installation, configuration, migration and development of business intelligence solutions,” he said.
