Raytheon to support Army combat training in Kuwait

Program to use advanced technologies to support U.S. and coalition troops

A Raytheon unit will provide training support for U.S. and coalition forces in Kuwait under a $44 million contract.

Under the contract, Raytheon Technical Services Company LLC and its subcontracting team will upgrade and maintain an advanced combat training program for the U.S. Third Army Command in Kuwait, company officials said today. The work is being done as part of the Warfighter Field Operations Customer Support program.

Raytheon’s key subcontractors on the Warrior Training Alliance are Computer Sciences Corp., General Dynamics Information Technology, and MPRI, the officials said. MPRI is a division of L-3 Communications Corp.

Raytheon Technical Services Company is a unit of Raytheon Co. The parent company ranks No. 5 on Washington Technology’s 2009 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
