ManTech names Varner to head cyber solutions group

New group formed from information systems and security and mission assurance groups

ManTech International Corp. has named former Northrop Grumman TASC executive William Varner to lead its new Mission, Cyber and Technology Solutions Group.

ManTech’s has created the new unit by combining its Information Systems and Technology and Security and Mission Assurance groups, company officials said Sept. 14.

Varner previously was vice president, corporate officer and executive director of the Intelligence Operating Unit at Northrop Grumman TASC. Before that, he worked with ESL Inc.

He is holds a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from George Washington University, a master of science in electrical engineering from Purdue University and a master of business administration from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

ManTech ranks No. 48 on Washington Technology’s 2009 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
