QinetiQ names new president

QinetiQ North America has tapped Mike Stolarik as its new president and chief operating officer.

He replaces Rob Topping, who is shifting to a part-time consulting role to spend more time with his family.

Stolarik was president of QinetiQ’s mission solutions group and was president and COO of Analex before it was acquired by QinetiQ.

Before Analex, he was a managing parnter at Insight Consulting Group LLC, an executive vice president of Titan Corp., and president and chief executive officer of GRC International Inc., a subsidiary of AT&T. He also worked at BDM International, where he was a corporate vice president.

Topping’s role as a consultant will include work on mergers and acquisitions, and portfolio management, the company said.

QinetiQ was ranked No. 24 on Washington Technology’s 2008 Top 100 list of the largest prime contractors.
