Telos wins Air Force security work

Telos Corp. will support the Air Force Application Software Assurance Center of Excellence under a $6.7 million bump in an existing contract.

The Ashburn, Va., company will supply software licenses, training and other services to the center, located at Gunter Annex at Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama.

The new work was awarded under the Netcents contract, and brings the total for this task to $15 million, the company said.

The center of excellence works on application security best practices that are used across the Air Force. It identifies critical vulnerabilities and works to secure the service's applications against attacks.

Telos won the initial task order of $75 million in October 2007 to establish the center.
