SRA to support GAO tech systems

SRA International Inc. will help consolidate and update several information technology systems that make up the Government Accountability Office’s internal workflow processes under a five-year, $117 million contract.

The General Services Administration awarded the contract to SRA for GAO’s Phoenix project.

The project includes delivering help desk and logistics support, enterprise network services and enterprise architecture services. The company will also provide systems development, security program support, project management office support, and continuity program support.

GSA’s Federal Systems Integration and Management Center, a program of the Federal Acquisition Service, worked on behalf of GSA to complete technical specifications, procurement documentation and oversaw the acquisition.

The contract was awarded under GSA's  millennia government-wide acquisition contract program to SRA and a variety of subcontractors.

GAO hopes the project will reduce operations and maintenance costs with the savings being reinvested in other software development projects.

SRA, based in Fairfax, Va., ranks No. 32 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
