Sentek hires Cully as COO

Sentek Consulting Inc. has hired David Cully, a retired Navy commander, as its new chief operating officer.

Cully has nearly three decades of experience in command and control, aviation training and intelligence programs, including a 20-year Navy career.

Before joining Sentek, Cully was a principal at Booz Allen Hamilton Inc., where he managed financial and program management support for the Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Center's Program Executive Office.

Cully's work at Booz Allen also included a deployment as program manager in support of the Iraq Survey Group Baghdad, where he led an intelligence effort focused on insurgent and terrorist activities, the Saddam Hussein regime's links to terrorist groups, and its strategic intentions regarding weapons of mass destruction.

Cully holds a master's degree in business administration from San Diego State University and a bachelor of art degree in economics from the University of California at Los Angeles.

Sentek, of San Diego, ranks No. 33 on Washington Technology's 2008 Fast 50 list.
