DHS to hold industry day on acquisition

The Homeland Security Department's procurement office will hold an Industry Day Dec. 3 to discuss its future acquisition plans with the contracting community. The day-long event will be held at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C.

The event is intended as a forum where DHS officials can communicate the department's requirements face-to-face with contractor representatives, according to an announcement posted Oct. 28 on the FedBizOpps Web site.

Among those invited are large and small vendors that represent all industries interested in various contracting and subcontracting opportunities with the department.

Also invited are representatives of small disadvantaged businesses, 8(a), HUBZone, service-disabled veteran businesses, veteran-owned businesses and women-owned businesses.

Attendance is limited to one representative from each company. To register, go to the conference Web site.
