CACI supports DOD's business agency

CACI International will provide management support to the Defense Department Business Transformation Agency.

CACI International Inc. will provide management support services to the Defense Department under a three-year, $19.5 million contract.

The Business Enterprise Integration Services task order calls for CACI to provide technical and management support to the DOD's Business Transformation Agency, which oversees business operations throughout DOD and ensures the deliver of enterprise-level capabilities that meet warfighter needs.

The BEIS award will build upon existing infrastructure to provide timely and accurate business information that meet DOD financial requirements and provide detailed information visibility. The award represents an expansion of CACI's BTA market presence, company officials said.

CACI will provide systems maintenance and development for many major DOD business systems currently being upgraded by BTA. In addition, the award includes continuing support of Defense Finance and Accounting Service projects.

CACI holds significant credentials in project management, including software development processes that are independently certified at Level 3 of the Software Engineering Institute's Capability Maturity Model Integration, which assure the government that processes and products comply with internationally recognized high standards and software engineering best practices.

The three-year award under the General Services Administration Schedule 70 contract has one base year and two option years.

CACI, of Arlington, Va., ranks No. 17 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
