DRC to help Coast Guard with information systems compliance

Dynamics Research Corp. will assist the Coast Guard's response to the information technology findings and recommendations of recent financial audits under a new task order.

DRC will initially help the Coast Guard Information System Security Manager analyze the IT findings and recommendations of the Office of Financial Transformation and Compliance, and develop effective action plans and milestones to remediate any identified control weaknesses. The four-year task order is worth $3.4 million.

On completion of the first phase, the company, based in Andover, Mass., will assess the Coast Guard's IT systems, policies, procedures and practices to ensure continuing compliance with all Homeland Security Department requirements, including the Federal Information Security Management Act.

DRC is the prime contractor on this, its fifth Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions Function 5 Management Support Services award.

The DRC team includes Total Systems Technology Corp., a woman-owned, small-business IT professional services company in Fairfax, Va., and Kearney & Co., a certified public accounting firm based in Alexandria, Va.
