As the Unisys project manager at the Office of
Management and Budget's Federal Enterprise
Architecture Program Management office,
Smialowicz helps OMB officials manage the $67
billion federal information technology budget and
implement the e-government portion of the
President's Management Agenda.
He has worked on the development and use of
the federal enterprise architecture and works closely
with the OMB chief architect.
His role includes working with agencies to
advance their enterprise architectures, development
frameworks, reference models and guidance.
Smialowicz has been the de facto program manager
for the OMB effort, even supervising government
officials assigned to the program. His work
has affected virtually every aspect of the federal IT
investment portfolio.
