SI to assist Air Force with life-cycle planning

SI International Inc. will provide life-cycle planning and technical assistance to the Air Force under a two-year contract valued at about $11 million.

SI International also will provide management and engineering assistance to Headquarters Air Force Space Command for developing its next-generation Space Situational Awareness and Command and Control capabilities, including space, air and missile elements.

The company will install enterprise architectures that comply with Defense Department Architecture Framework requirements. The work will be conducted at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., and at SI International's Colorado Springs, Colo., offices.

The Air Force awarded the project under the Contract Advisory and Assistance Services and Engineering and Technical Assistance contract vehicle.

SI International, of Reston, Va., ranks No. 44 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
