GNS will help validate DOE systems

Global Network Systems Inc. has been picked to help the Energy Department's chief information officer with independent verification and validation support services.

The contract, worth $3.5 million over three years, calls for GNS to help the agency comply with several federal regulations and Office of Management and Budget directives.

Agencies must comply with these regulations to assure that they are receiving the information technology services they are buying from contractors.

GNS is a Rockville, Md.-based, minority woman-owned, Small Business Administration-certified 8(a) company.
