Senate raises Nortel cyber shield

Nortel Government Solutions will provide cybersecurity infrastructure support services to the U.S. Senate Office of the Sergeant at Arms under a $3.7 million contract award.

Nortel Government Solutions already provides similar services for other government organizations including the Air Force Air Mobility Command and Air Combat Command.

The company's other customers include the Defense Department, Army Corps of Engineers, Navy, Education Department, Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Drug Enforcement Administration.

Nortel Government Solutions of Fairfax, Va., is a network-centric integrator. The company ranks No. 90 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
