O'Brien named to top post at Robbins-Gioia

Robbins Gioia LLC has appointed Marie O'Brien to serve as president of its newly combined defense and intelligence divisions.

Most recently, O'Brien was head of Robbins-Gioia's intelligence division. She has more than 20 years' experience in helping deliver technology to the federal government.

Before joining Robbins- Gioia, O'Brien was vice president of government sales for Sun Microsystems Inc. During her 15-year career at Sun, she held positions of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing, commercial and emerging markets.

The integration of the defense and intelligence divisions within Robbins-Gioia brings a new synergy and better alignment to its federal business, O'Brien said.

"It is essential that our constituent communities collaborate in information sharing, and this re-alignment advances that end," she said. "We are now in a better position to serve our defense and intelligence communities."
