Scitor Corp., a 1,200-person, employee-owned company, has been acquired by a private equity group.

Scitor officials could not be reached Wednesday afternoon.

Jefferies Quarterdeck represented Scitor on the deal. Its affiliate, Jefferies Finance helped arrange the financing for the transaction.
