ACS connects with Texas call center deal
Affiliated Computer Services Inc. will provide call center services to electronic benefit transfer recipients in Texas through a five-year, $19.6 million contract. The contract includes five option years, ACS said.
Under the contract, ACS of Dallas will establish a fully integrated call center in San Antonio for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.
The call center will handle benefits for more than 1 million residents who receive food stamp and financial support through the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program.
ACS has 58,000 employees and had annual sales of $5.3 billion in 2006. The company ranks

Top 100 list of the largest federal IT contractors. The 2007 Top 100 list is due out May 14.
