Anteon wins Navy airborne networking support work
Anteon International Corp. has won a contract from the Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command to help optimize airborne networking capabilities.
Under the contract, Anteon of Fairfax, Va., will provide engineering and program management support for the Program Management Warfare 780 Airborne Networking and Integration International Program Office. The contract is estimated to be worth $26.9 million over five years.
Anteon also will provide engineering and program management support for a number of other systems, such as the multifunction information distribution, low-volume terminal, and MIDS joint tactical radio.
The PMW 780 program executive office develops networking capabilities unique to the airborne combat environment and delivers integrated command, control, communications, computers and intelligence suites to various airborne platforms.
The company will perform the work at SPAWAR Command headquarters in San Diego, PMW 780 and various locations around the world.
Anteon has more than 9,500 employees and annual sales of $1.3 billion. The company ranks No. 13 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list, which measures federal contracting revenue.
