IBM battles Accenture for $40M in Navy ERP work

IBM is fighting for a series of task orders for Navy ERP work that it lost to Accenture, complaining to GAO that the evaluation criteria was not applied properly.
IBM Corp. has filed a series of bid protests over task orders won by Accenture to support enterprise resource planning work for the Navy.
The four task orders are each worth over $10 million and were awarded under a multiple-award contract both companies won earlier this year.
A source told me that IBM is complaining about the evaluation criteria used to make the task order awards.
The task orders are supporting the Navy’s Enterprise Resource Planning Program. The Naval Supply Systems Command is managing the contract.
IBM filed the protests last week, and a decision is expected by Oct. 24.
The protests are listed with the Government Accountability Office under the file numbers: B-410107, B-410108, B-410109, and B-410110. Each has a different file number because there are four separate task order awards.
It is unclear if there were other bidders, so we'll be keeping an eye on the GAO bid protest docket just in case.
