Avineon hires exec to steer federal growth

IT and geospatial solutions provider Avineon brings on board a 12-year market veteran to lead the company's federal business.

IT and geospatial solutions firm Avineon has hired nearly 12-year private industry veteran Gretchen Larsen Idsinga as president of the company’s U.S. federal business.

The appointment is effective immediately and gives Idsinga full responsibility for the management and operation of Avineon’s federal division, according to a release Tuesday.

Idsinga currently serves as an independent board member at government services company Red Gate Group. Her career in industry includes executive roles at Calibre Systems, Michael Baker International and CACI International.

Prior to that, she served as an intelligence officer in the Air Force for 20 years.
