Cohesity hires new federal lead

Enterprise storage company Cohesity hires three-decade market veteran Davis Johnson as vice president of its federal business.

Enterprise storage company Cohesity said Tuesday that three-decade government technology market veteran Davis Johnson has joined the company as vice president of its federal business.

Johnson more recently was senior vice president and public sector lead at Riverbed, a maker of network performance monitoring and application performance management technologies.

His career also includes roles such as group vice president at Oracle, where he led infrastructure sales and business development in the federal market; and 10 years prior to that at NetApp in sales leadership positions.

During his NetApp tenure, the public sector business grew from $77 million in annual revenue to at least $1 billion.

San Jose, California-based Cohesity designed its platform to consolidate and manage secondary data in a web-scale data platform that spans both public and private clouds.
