CMS, HHS vet Dr. Henry Chao joins FEI Systems

Veteran CMS and HHS executive Dr. Henry Chao has joined health care IT company FEI Systems as its CTO.
Former Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services executive Dr. Henry Chao has joined health care IT contractor FEI Systems as its chief technology officer.
Chao will lead solution development initiatives for FEI’s CMS and State Medicaid businesses and coordinate product alignment, the company said Tuesday.
His roles at CMS included deputy director, deputy chief information officer and CTO at the agency’s information services office. He also worked at the Health and Human Services Department as CIO for its office of consumer information and insurance oversight.
Altogether, Chao brings at least two decades of experience at CMS and HHS to the company.
