Two of the General Services Administration's top acquisition managers will exchange jobs after the Thanksgiving holiday break.

Crystal Philcox will take over as assistant commissioner for enterprise strategy management at the Federal Acquisition Service.

Laura Stanton is vacating that post to move to the job of deputy assistant commission of category management, office of information category at FAS, formerly held by Philcox.

Stanton inherits lead management duties on GSA's massive $50 billion next-generation telecommunications contract, Enterprise Infrastructure Systems.

Philcox will take over strategic business planning, performance management, category management, GSA's Federal Strategic Sourcing Initiative and the adoption of its Acquisition Gateway initiative.

The move was announced in an internal GSA email by FAS Commissioner Alan Thomas earlier in the week, and Philcox confirmed it to FCW at a federal acquisition summit conference on Nov. 15.
