RG brings on Silicon Valley vet Speden as CTO, names Samulski software lead

The company formerly known as Robbins Gioia names Silicon Valley veteran Liam Speden as chief technology officer and two-decade employee Chris Samulski as software director.

The company transforming from its former Robbins Gioia brand has brought on board a Silicon Valley veteran as its chief technology officer and named a two-decade employee as director of software.

New CTO Liam Speden joins Alexandria, Va.-based RG from software company Organizer, which he led as CEO for nearly two years and first joined as COO in February 2015. Speden held executive roles at fellow software company Autodesk for nine years prior to Organizer.

Chris Samulski takes on the director of software position at RG after his return from active duty in the Army National Guard, where he is a lieutenant colonel. He will spearhead work to build up RG's JFAST software product line and develop future offerings.

Brad King and a group of senior managers bought RG earlier this year nearly two years after the board of directors fired King from the CEO position.
