Produced by Lockheed Martin, the F-22 Raptor aircraft is a stealth tactical fighter aircraft that has capabilities including ground attack, electronic warfare and signals intelligence.
Under the contract, Lockheed will provide trainer hardware modifications, training system development and distributed mission operations and integration, the Defense Department said in a release.
Work will be performed at Langley Air Force Base, Va., Elmendorf Air Force Base, Ala., Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla., Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii, Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, and St. Louis, Miss., and is expected to be completed December 2017.
