Army seeking small businesses to modernize real property database

The Army is planning a five-year contract to gather real property data and then store it in the Army’s a modernized enterprise database.
The contract includes updating the Enterprise Proactive Real-property Interactive Space Management System (PRISMS) 4.0 data, migrating existing garrison data from other databases to PRISMS 4.0, and developing 3-dimensional architectural floor plans, as requested, among other services.
Currently, Army’s geospatial and space-use information is inconsistent in terms of existence, format, quality, and accessibility.
The new contract is a part of the March 2010 Installation Management Campaign Plan. The plan includes installation readiness, which is the ability to have the infrastructure and support services to remain highly effective and have a campaign-quality force. With the real property and space-usage data, the Army can make sound business decisions.
The contract is set aside for small businesses.
According to the solicitation, contract work is anticipated to start Sept. 22.
The Army released the solicitation Aug. 29. Responses are due by Sept. 12.
