Cubic Corp. wins $200M IDIQ to provide Army with training system

Cubic Corp. has won a potentially $200 million contract to supply the Army with the Army Mobile Instrumented Training System.

The initial award is valued at $12.5 million, but options raise its value considerably.

The mobile system will benefit the U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation.

Under the contract, Cubic will provide a mobile training command center and mobile network nodes as well as instrumentation radios for soldiers and vehicles, the company said in a release.

“[The training system] incorporates automation and ease-of-use features such as intuitive applications and game-based virtual instruction that stimulate user engagement, remove complexity, reduce setup time, and minimize operational and sustainment costs, which translate into increased time available for tactical training,” said Dave Schmitz, president of Cubic Defense Systems.
