Novetta Solutions acquires small analytics firm

Novetta Solutions has acquired Global News Intelligence in a move that strengthens Novetta’s analytics capabilities. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Novetta Solutions has acquired Global News Intelligence in a move that strengthens Novetta’s analytics capabilities. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Global News Intelligence is an innovator in the open source analytics market and has customers that include the Defense Department, State Department and commercial customers. The company has 65 employees, according to its website.

The company has technology solutions that help its clients geospatially quantify and understand sentiment, influence and rhetoric across social and traditional media in targeted markets, according to a Novetta release.

“GNI is an excellent technology partner for Novetta and will allow us to expand our presence in the sentiment analytics and open source intelligence markets. GNI’s innovative approach to traditional and social media analytics and open source intelligence combines deep subject matter expertise with scalable technology that maps very well to Novetta’s advanced analytics solutions,” said Novetta CEO Peter LaMontagne.

This was the right time to join forces with another company, Global News Intelligence CEO Matthew Ennis said, who will continue to manage his company along with founder Bryan Rich within Novetta.
