Lockheed to support Air Force ISR platforms under $17M contract

Lockheed Martin has won a $17 million contract to provide the Air Force with a prototype hardware/software system.

Lockheed Martin has won a $17 million contract to provide the Air Force with a prototype hardware/software system.

This contract will support the Air Force Research Laboratory and the prototype will provide innovative solutions for signal collecting, processing, exploitation and dissemination for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance platforms, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work will be performed in Littleton, Colo., and is expected to be completed by July 21, 2016.

Eleven companies bid on this contract, the Defense Department said.
