Who won June's biggest contracts?
The number of contract awards dropped in June, but it was still a good month for government contracting. Who won the biggest contracts in June 2014?
Contract award momentum slowed a little in June, but there were still a good number of awards made.
June 2014 saw 45 contracts being reported, which is a definite drop from May's 61 and April's 69.
This month was great for Lockheed Martin, which nabbed three spots on the list.
Contract values were also slightly down. To make the list this time around, you have to have won a contract more than $89 million. Last month, the lowest contract to make the list was $101 million.
June's Top 10 list also saw one international contract and one state government contract.

10. CGI nabs $89.4M contract to modernize enterprise resource planning systems in Michigan
CGI has won a $89.4 million contract to provide technology services to the State of Michigan in support of its enterprise resource planning system modernization.
9. SRA International to support Navy personnel, pay system under $96M contract
SRA International has won a $96 million contract to support the Navy’s Integrated Personnel and Pay System (IPPS).
8. SAIC wins $115M contract to support Saudi food, energy security
Science Applications International Corp. has won a $115 million contract to provide systems engineering and integration to the Saudi-American Food Security and Renewable Energy Company (SAFECO).
7. HP scores $138M contract extension for NMCI support
HP Enterprise Services has won a $138 million contract extension from the Navy to continue servicing the Navy Marine Corps Intranet.
6. Leidos snags two IT task orders worth $180M
Leidos has won two task orders worth a combined $180 million under the Army’s Rapid Prototyping and Technology Insertion (RPTI) support contract.
5. Lockheed Martin wins $182M contract to support vertical launch system
Lockheed Martin has won a potentially $182 million contract with the Army to provide engineering design services in support of the MK41 Vertical Launch System
4. Lockheed wins $452M contract to support reentry vehicles
Lockheed Martin has won a $452 million contract with the Air Force to support space reentry vehicles and their systems and subsystems.
3. Lockheed wins $914M contract to track space junk
Lockheed Martin has won the $914 million Space Fence contract to improve the way the Air Force tracks debris and other objects in space by providing the service with two S-Band phased array radars.
2. 12 win chance to chase $3B in defense R&D work
Twelve companies will compete for work under a $3 billion Air Force contract for a variety of research and development efforts.
The contract, known as the Defense Systems Technical Area Tasks (DS TATs), is a recompete of an existing contract that the Air Force uses for R&D, research and evaluation of new technologies focused on weapons systems, survivability, advanced materials and other areas.
