Artel wins $43.4M contract to support defense satellite work

Artel has won a $43.4 million task order to provide Ku-band space segment to an undisclosed Defense Department customer.

Artel has won a $43.4 million task order to provide Ku-band space segment to an undisclosed Defense Department customer.

This task order was issued by DISA Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization under the future COMSATCOM Services Acquisition, Schedule 70, SIN 132-54 contract.

Under the contract, Artel will provide network architecture; contingency support; real-time monitoring; and Host Nation Approval (HNA) support for terminal licenses for operations in host countries, the company said in a release.

The company is partnering with Eutelsat America Corp. to complete the work.
