Vista Research wins $8.4M contract to support Army surveillance
Vista Research has won an $8.4 million contract with the Navy to upgrade the Wide Area Surveillance Vista Radars and Processors Systems that the Army uses.
Vista Research has won an $8.4 million contract with the Navy to upgrade the Wide Area Surveillance Vista Radars and Processors Systems that the Army uses.
The radars and processor systems support the Army’s Persistent Ground Surveillance Systems program. The Persistent Ground Surveillance System is a 75-foot-long balloon that can carry a payload of 150 pounds and detect threats, NAVAIR said on its website.
Work will be performed in Afghanistan, Patuxent River, Md., Yuma, Ariz., Point Magu, Calif., and Elizabeth City, N.C., and is expected to be completed by December 2014.
