The Census Bureau needs to continue implementing the identification credentialing known as Homeland Security Presidential Directive-12.

The bureau has a requirement for a Credential Management System (CMS) and System Infrastructure Provider (SIP). It’s looking for an end-to-end solution for new and innovative technical approaches for personal identification verification (PIV) issuance identity management, PIV card management, interoperability, and biometric collection, such as fingerprints and facial images.

In a new sources sought notice, the bureau is asking for solution ideas for identity and card management systems, physical and logistical access control systems, and biometric collection approaches.

The notice was released June 11. Responses are due June 20.
