Lockheed Martin has won a $14.2 million contract with the Army to operate and sustain the National Cyber Range, which will be a scale model of the internet.

Overseen by DARPA, the National Cyber Range is a project to build a scale model of the internet, which can be used to carry out cyber war games.
It is designed to allow potentially harmful code to be introduced and studied on the range without compromising the range itself, the Defense Department said.
Work will be performed in Orlando, Fla., and is expected to be completed by May 25, 2019.
