Alliant Techsystems wins $15.2M contract to support Air Force ISR aircraft

Alliant Techsystems Inc. has won a $15.2 million contract to continue providing the Air Force with contractor logistics support services.

Alliant Techsystems Inc. has won a $15.2 million contract to continue providing the Air Force with contractor logistics support services.

These services will support the Air Force’s Cessna 208s intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance caravan and the Cessna 208 armed caravan as well as aircraft maintenance student training on both aircraft types, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work will be performed at Joint Base Balad, Iraq, and is expected to be completed Dec. 31, 2014.

Alliant is in the process of spinning spinning off its outdoor sports business and will merge its aerospace and defense businesses to Orbital Sciences Corp.
