Northrop wins $10.8M UAV electronic sensor contract

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has won a $10.8 million Naval aviation contract for UAV sensor arrays.

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has won a $10.8 million contract for UAV sensor arrays.
The company will be tasked with the development and integration of Multi Capability Pod (MCAP) sensor arrays on the MQ-8C Fire Scout, a UAV helicopter model.

The MCAPs provide multiple electronic warfare sensors for littoral combat situations.

Funds in the amount of $10.8 million were obligated at time of award, $4.2 million of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year, and work is slated to wind up in June 2015.
