General Dynamics’ Bath Iron Works has picked up two Navy awards worth a combined $57 million.

The first award is a $28,716,385 delivery order from the Navy’s Southwest Regional Maintenance Center in San Diego, Calif., which calls for Bath to provide fleet maintenance sustainment support through September 2014.

The second award is a $28,697,034 modification to a previously-awarded Littoral Combat Ship design contract.

Bath will be responsible for class design services, including engineering, program and technical support for littoral combat ships.

Full funding for both awards was obligated at the time at the awards.

Funds for the Southwest Regional Maintenance Center’s award will expire at the end of the current fiscal year, while the littoral combat ship support modification’s funding will not.
