First Data Corp. taps new SVP, Government Solutions

First Data Corp. has named Jose Garcia senior vice president of Government Solutions, where he will focus on the company’s efforts to grow and expand its expertise in government solutions.

As senior vice president, Garcia will leverage the company’s current successes across the portfolio, including health and human services, tax and revenue, and payment solutions, as well as partner with the company’s client services teams to help meet its customers’ mission, First Data said in a release.

He joins First Data Corp. from Xerox Corp., where he was senior vice president. He has also held executive positions at Capgemini Government Solutions, Agilex Technologies and Citi.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University and an MBA from DePaul University.
