QinetiQ North America wins $6.8M robotics contract

QinetiQ North America has won a $6.8 million contract to support the robots that help keep bomb technicians safe.

QinetiQ North America has captured a $6.8 million Navy contract to support the Man Transportable Robotic System MK2 system.

The contract is for post-production support, according to the Defense Department.

The robotic system helps bomb disposal technicians conduct reconnaissance from a safe distance.

Work will be performed in Waltham, Mass., and the contract runs through July 2016.
