Raytheon appoints new board member

Raytheon Co. has named George R. Oliver to its board of directors, effective immediately.

Oliver is currently CEO of Tyco International and serves on its board.

Before Tyco, Oliver held various leadership positions at a number of divisions at General Electric Company.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Worchester Polytechnic Institute.
