General Dynamics C4 Systems has won a $475 million contract to provide the U.S. Army with research and development support for the Warfighter Information Network-Tactical Increment 3.

General Dynamics C4 Systems has won a $475 million contract to provide the U.S. Army with research and development support for the Warfighter Information Network-Tactical Increment 3.

The WIN-T Increment 3 provides a mobile, flexible tactical networking capability needed to support a highly dispersed force over isolated areas. It also introduces embedded joint C4ISR radios into the platforms.

Under the contract, General Dynamics will fabricate, assemble and code the configuration items necessary to complete the research and development phase for transition to the production/deployment phase.

GDC4 will provide product integration, testing and evaluation.

Work location will be determined with each task order.
