IBM acquires Israeli cybersecurity firm

In a move that boosts its focus on mobile and application security, IBM has acquired an Israeli cybersecurity firm called Trusteer.

IBM Corp. has acquired an Israeli cybersecurity company named Trusteer, in a move to bolster its focus on mobile and application security, according to Israel Hayom.

While terms of the deal were undisclosed, Israel Hayom reported the deal to have been somewhere between $800 million and $1 billion.

Trusteer has offices in Boston and Tel Aviv, Israel, and the firm protects web applications, employee and customer computers and mobile devices from cyber threats, Israel Hayom reported.
