Lockheed wins $39.4M contract to update Navy helicopter software
Lockheed Martin has won a contract with the Navy to update and maintain software on two models of the Navy’s helicopters.
Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training has won a $39.4 million contract with the U.S. Navy to update and maintain software in support of the MH-60R/S and SH-60B aircraft.
Under the contract, Lockheed Martin will provide flight test, technical, management and process support services toward the updating and maintenance of operational software, vendor software, maintenance-related software, and laboratory support software, the Defense Department said.
The MH-60R/S and the SH-60B are both helicopters that the Navy uses.
Work will take place in Owego, N.Y., Patuxent River, Md., Pascagoula, Miss., and Bath, Maine, and is expected to be completed in September 2015.
Funding in the amount of $814,024 is being obligated at the time of the award, and will expire at the end of fiscal 2013.
Contract was not competitively procured, the Defense Department said.
