ACQUATE Corp. wins $15.3M option to provide Navy with engineering, testing services

ACQUATE Corp. has won an option with the Navy to provide a number of services in support of specialized joint program offices that need explosives equipment for their mission.

AQUATE Corp. has won a $15.3 million option to provide the U.S. Navy with a number of engineering and testing services.

Under the option, AQUATE will provide engineering and testing; modeling and simulation; situational awareness; sustainment training; implementation; and logistics support.

These services will support joint program offices and other federal agency customers that need chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high-yield explosives equipment for their missions, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work will be performed in Quantico, Va., Williamsburg, Va., San Diego, Calif., Edgewater, Md., Suffolk, Va., and Aberdeen, Md., and is expected to be completed by July 2014. 

Funding in the amount of $606,700 is obligated at the time of the award, and will expire at the end of fiscal 2013.
