Northrop Grumman wins $28M contract to support Littoral Combat Ships

Northrop Grumman has won a $28 million contract with the U.S. Navy to provide engineering and production planning services for components in support of littoral combat ships.

Under the contract, Northrop Grumman will perform engineering and production planning services for surface warfare and mine countermeasures mission module components on littoral combat ship, the company said.

This contract expands Northrop’s role as mission package integrator, adding systems engineering, mission module production and mission package fleet sustainment.

These mission packages are made up of subsystems including data processing equipment, vehicles and sensors, and work to integrate specialized manned and unmanned systems that need to operate in air, surface and subsurface domains, the company said.
