Smartronix wins $17M Navy contract for cyber operations

Smartronix Inc. has won a contract with the Navy to provide cyber operations support including program management, information assurance, network operations and engineering support.

Smartronix Inc. has won a $17 million contract with the U.S. Navy to provide cyber operations support.

The firm-fixed-price contract has cost reimbursable contract line items, and calls for program management, knowledge and information assurance management, network operations and maintenance, help desk and engineering support services, the Defense Department said.

Work will take place in Quantico, Va., Camp Pendleton, Calif., Camp Lejeune, N.C., Okinawa, Japan, Stuttgart, Germany, New Orleans, La., Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, Kansas City, Mo., Seoul, Korea, and is expected to be completed June 29, 2014, or November 29, 2015 with options.

Funding in the full amount of the contact is obligated at the time of the award, and will expire at the end of the current fiscal 2013.

Four bids were received for this contract.
