Four smalls win $10M contract for natural resource-related services

Four small businesses have won a contract with the Navy to provide services related to natural resources management at Navy, Marine Corps and Defense Department installations, including GIS work, surveying and mapping.

Four small businesses have won a $10 million task order contract to provide natural resource-related services at various Navy, Marine Corps and Defense Department installations.

The winners are:

  • Southwestern Natural Resources (also known as MultiMAC JV)
  • Noreas Inc.
  • Geomorph Information Systems
  • Vernadero Group

These installations are within the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest area of responsibility, the Defense Department said in a release.

Under the firm-fixed-price contract, the companies will provide a number of services, including surveying, inventorying, monitoring and mapping of natural resources, Geographic Information System mapping of natural resources, wetland wash management, educational and outreach services and other support, the Defense Department said.

Work will take place in California, Arizona and Nevada, and is expected to be completed by May 2016.

Funds in the amount of $12,000 will be obligated at the time of the award.
