Northrop names new CEO for U.K., Europe

Northrop Grumman has named Andrew Tyler, a former Siemen's exec, as the new CEO of its business in the United Kingdom and Europe, effective July 1.

Northrop Grumman has named Andrew Tyler CEO of its business in the United Kingdom and Europe, effective July 1.

As CEO, Tyler will play a leading role in supporting the company’s current programs, develop strategies for growth and will identify new business opportunities for Northrop Grumman’s activities in the United Kingdom and in Europe, including NATO countries, the company said in a release.

He was most recently CEO of Siemen’s Marine Current Turbines. Before that, he was chief operating officer at Defence Equipment & Support in the U.K. Ministry of Defence.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Nautical Studies, as well as a PhD from the University of Plymouth. He also holds a MBA degree from London Business School.
